The Liverpool boss will be previewing tomorrow’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa, which marks the Reds’ final home match of the 2022/23 season. It promises to be an emotional afternoon at Anfield as supporters bid farewell to the likes of James Milner and Roberto Firmino, who have reached the end of their lengthy stays on Merseyside.
Klopp will be providing the latest on which players will be available to face Unai Emery’s side, who have risen up the Premier League table since the Spaniard took charge of the West Midlands-based team.

Klopp on Kelleher future
I can’t see Caoimhin leaving. It must be an extraordinary offer. Adrian, if we don’t say goodbye, what does that mean? That he probably stays.”

Klopp on not being on the touchline
No-one will shout like me on the sideline when they don’t track back! I sit far away. Vitor [Matos] will have the headset so we can speak about everything. Pep is an incredible coach and he will be there.”

Klopp on departing quartet
We have time until Monday to give them all the farewell they deserve. Millie and Bobby wouldn’t like it if people forget Ox and Naby. Bobby 100% deserves (his reception). But there is time to give them all the farewell they deserve. Millie played an incredible number of games. Same for Bobby. Ox came here as a young talent and became here a great character and real good guy. Naby, everybody knows. We spent a lot of money, a lot of expectations. Because of injuries he couldn’t meet all of them. But look at the football he played in his best moments. Played big games, scored big goals.”

Klopp on upturn in form
So much more fun again. So much easier to enjoy. I am a professional football manager, I should enjoy it all the time. But sometimes it’s not that easy. It can happen from time to time. We shook it all off.”
The Reds have won each of their last seven matches.

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Roberto Firmino will be available for selection tomorrow, having returned to first-team training.

Klopp on injury news
Darwin will not be available, he has inflammation of the tendon in his toe, very painful. He hasn’t trained. Long term injured are out, but all the rest should be available. The long-term injuries are still out.”

Klopp on Villa
Villa’s football is like Villarreal a little bit when Unai was there. It will be tricky. But we have to make it tricky for them, and it’s become a bit more tricky for teams playing us lately.”

Klopp on Oxlade-Chamberlain/Keita injuries
Ox was unlucky with injuries. He was irreplaceable (When injured vs Roma). People think of Naby, they think a few too many injuries, but he played in super important games. All four won each available trophy and we love them. Nothing is forever.”

Klopp on top four race
I never had hope for that. I don’t need that. I know we have to win all the games, and there’s maybe a chance. I watched the game last night but wasn’t disappointed when Newcastle scored. The only time I was like that was when Vincent Kompany scored! Whatever Newcastle get, they deserve.”

Klopp on legacy of Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita and Firmino
We love them. But it’s professional football and nothing is forever, that’s how it is. It is a good moment because it means one chapter will be closed and we can start writing a new one. I will be forever thankful to them. Without them, nothing would have happened.”
13:33Ian Doyle
Klopp on four players departing
This game is super difficult for a number of reasons. We have spoken with the boys this week that it’s super difficult and super emotional. We say goodbye from my point of view to four Liverpool legends.”

Klopp on if he will be involved in FT farewells
Nobody has told me I can’t go on the pitch after the game tomorrow.”
13:32Tom Cavilla
Klopp on touchline ban
I expected a punishment. It’s OK. I would like to know where the money goes and if it’s for a good cause. Apart from that, the people around me were negative – they thought it would be longer.”

Last time out vs Villa
Liverpool got the better of Aston Villa when the sides met earlier this season, earning a 3-1 win at Villa Park.
Competing in their first game back after the World Cup break, the Reds enjoyed a successful Boxing Day trip to the West Midlands courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Stefan Bajcetic.
By scoring, Bajcetic became Liverpool’s third youngest Premier League scorer behind Michael Owen and Raheem Sterling.
